DAY 1 : UK - Anchorage.

Fly to Anchorage where on arrival transfer to your hotel. The Tour Director will be in reception this evening if your chosen flight arrives early enough. If not information will be left for you to meet up the following morning.

DAY 2 : Anchorage - Wasilla - Talkeetna - Alaskan Railroad - Denali National Park.

This morning, travel into the majestic wilds of Alaska, visit the Iditarod headquarters, home of the world famous dog sled race, held annually over 1,049 miles across Alaska. Arrive in Talkeetna, the jumping off point for climbers attempting to climb Mt Denali. Later, board the world famous Alaska Railroad for a journey through untamed wilderness. The end of the line is Denali National Park, where North America's highest peak Mount Denali (formerly Mount McKinley) 20,320 ft majestically dominates the park's 6 million acres. The afternoon is free to enjoy the scenery and the park's trails. This evening, enjoy dinner at the Murie Science & Learning Centre followed by an exclusive presentation on Denali National Park by a local Naturalist. Includes Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 3 : Denali National Park.

Today, a guided Wilderness Tour gets into 6 million acre Denali National Park to explore the majestic wilderness and seek out grizzly bear, caribou, moose and other wildlife. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy optional excurions that are on offer. Includes Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 4 : Denali National Park - Fairbanks.

After a morning spent in Denali lunch is at the 49th State Brewery where there is the chance to sample some local specialities. Continue to the heart of Alaska to Fairbanks where the rest of the day is at leisure. Includes Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 5 : Fairbanks - Dawson City.

This morning, board the sternwheeler Discovery for a cruise on the Chena and Tanana Rivers, with a stop at a recreated Chena Indian Village to learn about Athabascan Native Culture. Later, visit the University of Alaska, Fairbanks museum during a tour of Fairbanks which includes a stop at the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline. Includes Breakfast

DAY 6 : Fairbanks - Dawson City.

Continuing into Gold Rush history, travel over the 'Top of the World Highway' and enter the Yukon. Pass through the village of Chicken, admire the breathtaking scenery. Tonight there are reservations at Diamond Tooth Gertie's, featuring ragtime music, can-can girls and an old fashioned casino. Includes Breakfast

DAY 7 : Dawson City.

Today, step back in time at the site of Claim #1, where the first gold strike was made. Continue to the Robert Service Interpretive Center and learn about the 'Bard of the Yukon' and the numerous poems and ballads he composed while exploring this remote area. The rest of the day is at leisure. Includes Breakfast

DAY 8 : Dawson City - Whitehorse.

Today, trace the trail of the gold seekers on their way to the Klondike. View the Five Finger Rapids, ehich once posed a major obstacle to the hordes of fortune seekers stampeding into the Yukon. The day ends in Whitehorse. Includes Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 9 : Whitehorse.

A city tour stops at the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre, to see Ice Age giant mammals that once roamed the ancient subcontinent. Enjoy the SS Klondike Riverboat and learn about it's importance on the Yukon River in the Gold Rush days. Later, head to Whitehorse's premier dog sled facility, Muktuk Adventures, to meet the huskies and their trainers, Here, learn about the training and care of Alaskan Huskies as well as the lifestyle required to race in world famous competitions such as the Iditarod and Yukon Quest. Afterwards enjoy a special Taste of the Yukon dinner. Includes Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 10 : Whitehorse - Tok.

Return into Alaska, travelling along the rugged mountains of Kluane National Park, home to 19,625ft Mount Logan, Canada's highest peak. Continue on the Alaska Highway to Tok, the 'Dog Sled Capital of the World'. Includes Breakfast

DAY 11 : Tok - Valdez.

Head to Alaska's northernmost ice-free port, Valdez, home of the Alyeska Pipeline Terminal. Enjoy views of Thompson Pass, Worthington Glacier and Bridal Veil Falls along some of the highest coastal mountains in the world before arriving in the 'Switzerland of Alaska' - Valdez. Visit the unique Valdez Museum late this afternoon. Includes Breakfast

DAY 12 : Valdez - Whittier - Anchorage.

Get closer to the Trans-Alaska Pipeline aboard a cruise in Prince William Sound. There might be sightings of eagles, whales, dolphins and sealions. This evening the Tour Director will host a farewell dinner. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 13 : Seward to embark.

Today, transfer to the cruise port in Seward to embark your ship for your seven night Alaska cruise. Includes Dinner

DAY 14 : At sea.

A relaxing day at sea provides time to explore the ship's many amenities. Animal and marine life are abundant in this area and with a little luck you may spot a pod of mighty Orcas. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 15 : Glacier Bay.

Cruise into spectacular Glacier Bay early this morning. Forests give way to a rugged landscape rising to rocky peaks. Sixteen huge mountains converge to create an awe-inspiring panoramic wonder, a spectacular scene of awesome glaciers and massive icebergs. Wildlife is abundant, and you may spot eagles, seals, mountain goats, moose and bears in their natural habitat. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 16 : Haines (for Skagway).

Nestled on the shores of America's longest fjord, Haines is in a spectacular setting. You may wish to fill your day with a raft trip through the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve which protects the habitat of the nation's avian symbol, or visit the old fashioned weathered boardwalks and old-time saloons of Skagway. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 17 : Juneau.

The city has a Gold Rush story to rival that of Klondike, and is only accessible by seaplane or boat. An optional wildlife cruise and salmon fishing will normally be available, and you'll also have the opportunity to take an optional excursion to Juneau's own glacier, Mendenhall. This impressive river of blue ice is about 1.5 miles wide and over 12 miles long. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 18 : Ketchikan.

Colourful Ketchikan is situated on Revillagigedo Island and is known as the 'Salmon Capital of the World'. Here, a picturesque harbour shelters fishing boats and seaplanes. A wide choice of optional excursions will be available, including an outing to see Indian Heritage Villages, Totem Bight State Park and 'flightseeing' to Misty Fjords National Monument. DAY 19 : Inside Passage Cruising.

The beauty of the Inside Passage will amaze you as you cruise through 1,000 miles of epic scenery, towering glaciated mountains, roaring waterfalls, endless islands and virgin forests. There is also plenty of animal and marine life to look out for including sea lions, eagles and porpoises. Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 20 : Vancouver - UK.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to the UK. Includes Breakfast
