DAY 1 : UK - Toronto.

Fly to Toronto where on arrival you will transfer to your hotel. This evening meet your travelling companions and Tour Director for a welcome drink.

DAY 2 : Toronto.

This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Toronto. Highlights include the Legislature Building, the ethnic neighbourhoods, the University of Toronto, Eaton Centre, the city’s number-one tourist attraction, with more than 300 stores for world-class shopping. The tour concludes with lunch at the top the 1,815-foot-tall CN TOWER, for incredible views of the city and harbour below. Includes Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 3 : Toronto - Niagara.

This morning, leave bustling Toronto and travel along the shores of Lake Ontario to Niagara Falls. If you're feeling adventurous, why not take an optional sightseeing flight over the falls. Then, board a sightseeing cruise for a thrilling ride to view the thundering falls from river level. Later, visit picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake, where there is time to browse the shops of Main Street and visit a local vineyard for a tour and tasting. Tonight, be sure to see the illumination of the falls as they are lit in every colour of the rainbow. A special treat not to be missed! NOTE: The Niagara Falls sightseeing cruise is subject to favourable weather and/or river conditions. Favourable conditions normally exist from May to November. DAY 4 : Niagara Falls - Thousand Island National Park - Ottawa.

Travel this morning to Gananoque, for a lunch cruise through the waterways of Thousand Island National Park. Continue to Canada's capital of Ottawa, pleasantly framed by the banks of the Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal. For dinner, maybe visit lively and colourful Byward Market and choose from its array of speciality restaurants. Includes Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 5 : Ottawa.

This morning's sightseeing includes the Canadian Mint, the residences of the Governor General and Prime Minister and Parliament Hill. Enjoy a delicious Canadian speciality, a Beavertail, a pastry stretched to the shape of a beaver tail with toppings added. The rest of the day is at leisure, suggestions include the world-renowned Canadian Museum of History, shop for souvenirs, or spend time at the National Gallery of Canada. DAY 6 : Ottawa - Quebec City.

Drive north this morning to Cap-de-la-Madeleine for a visit to the Basilica of Out Lady of the Rosary, a national shrine famous for its fine stained-glass windows. There will be time to stroll through the grounds of the sanctuary and see the miraculous Madonna in the old chapel. Continue to romantic Québec City, one of the most historic and best-preserved cities in North America. This evening, enjoy regional French Cuisine at a special dinner in Old Town Québec. DAY 7 : Quebec City.

This morning, enjoy an included guided tour of Canada's only walled city. Until the British victory of 1759, Old Québec was the centre of New France and today it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the walls are Place d'Armes, Laval Seminary and ancient Place Royale. Also, see the Old World houses crowding the narrow streets in Lower Town by the St. Lawrence River and historic Plains of Abraham. The afternoon is at leisure. Maybe explore the historic sites, take a carriage ride, or stroll the streets of Old Québec City. Includes Breakfast

DAY 8 : Quebec City - Montreal.

Before leaving Québec, stop at a Sugar Shack for a guided tour to learn the art of making maple syrup and to enjoy a traditional sugar shack breakfast. On to Montréal, where sightseeing with a Local Guide takes in Notre Dame Basilica, the Old Seminary of St. Sulpice, and a drive to the top of Mount Royal to enjoy a panorama of the city. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by the Tour Director in the heart of Old Montréal. Includes Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 9 : Montreal to embark.

Today, transfer to the cruise port in Montreal to embark your ship for your seven night Canada & New England cruise. Includes Dinner

DAY 10 : Quebec City.

Another very French city on the St Lawrence awaits today - Quebec. Chosen as a trading post by 17th century French explorer Samuel Champlain, this lovely city offers stone buildings, winding streets and sunny squares. Take the opportunity to join an optional excursion to ride the funicular to historic, walled Old Quebec, see the castle-like Chateau Frontenac, delve into picture-book Petit Champlain and admire Place Royal square, home of North America's oldest Catholic church, the Notre Dame des Victoires. DAY 13 : Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Established by British loyalists in 1785, the port of Sydney is your gateway to the colourful culture and natural wonders of Cape Breton Island. Settled by the Scots and Irish in the 1800s, the island has a rich Gaelic heritage and passion for Celtic music. Explore on your own or perhaps join an optional excursion, to see the seabirds on rocky Bird Islands, strolling through pretty Old Sydney or visiting beautiful Bras d'Or Lake. DAY 14 : Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Flanking one of the world's greatest natural harbours, Halifax was once Britain's major military outpost in North America. Step back in time along the beautifully restored waterfront, take photos of the wave-pounded lighthouse at Peggy's Cove or discover Halifax's Titanic heritage at the Maritime Museum and Fairlawn Cemetery, where 121 victims of the disaster are buried. DAY 15 : Bar Harbor, Maine.

Backed by 1,530-foot Cadillac Mountain, this quaint town was the playground of America's most illustrious 19th century families, including the Vanderbilts and Rockefellers.
